Plot:
Directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, Gundam SEED Destiny is the sequel to Gundam SEED and the second Gundam series to be set in the Cosmic Era timeline. Set in CE 73, two years after the peace treaty between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance was signed in Gundam SEED, members of the Earth Alliance special task force known as “Phantom Pain” hijack three new mobile suits from a ZAFT armory base during a meeting between Orb Chief Representative Cagalli Yula Athha and ZAFT Chairman Gilbert Durandal. What begins as a pursuit of a band of Extended Naturals by Orb refugee Shinn Asuka, Alex Dino (Athrun Zala in disguise), Rey Za Burrel, and the crew of the Minerva, escalates into cataclysmic circumstances which lead to the declaration of yet another war.

Plot: The year is 2142. Global warming and environmental degradation have shrouded the world in a permanent toxic rain. The power élites enjoy a sheltered life of luxury in Ecoban, “the first living city”, and exploit the so-called ‘diggers’ – those who have managed to survive in the Wasteland outside – to mine the carbon required to fuel Ecoban’s genetically engineered Delos Core. Yet as the excluded ‘diggers’ begin an insurgence against their oppressive treatment, and supplies to the fortress city dwindle, an exile from Ecoban named Shua joins forces with the renegade Dr Noah, who long ago had designed Ecoban, in an attempt to shut down the Delos Core and achieve “energy release”, bringing blue skies once again to the earth. Having only just discovered that her childhood friend Shua is still alive, Ecoban guard Jay must decide where her allegiances lie in the apocalyptic confrontation which follows.
Review: From a purely technical perspective, ‘Wonderful Days’ is a masterpiece, combining traditional 2D animation with photorealistic 3D CGI backgrounds and live-action miniatures to create a sumptuous soup of ocular pleasures. Yet unfortunately the film’s story, characters and dialogue are as flatly colourless as the clouds encircling Ecoban.

Description:
Higurashi Kagome, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inu Yasha (also after the jewel’s power) to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.
